Wiggle, Giggle, Learn

I’m thrilled to introduce you to a very fun, brand new company that offers a unique and diverse learning system for toddlers and preschoolers. Wiggle, Giggle, Learn is owned by Tracey Stuckey and when shey contacted me and asked if I would try out some of the products with my little ones, I was very excited!
Tracey (she’ll introduce herself and her company a little later) compiled product specifically to meet the needs of my children. She breaks down activity plans for specific ages … and I mean SPECIFIC! If your child is 2 years and 2 months old, there is a specific activity plan for that month. There’s also some great finger plays, nursery rhymes, coloring pages and much more!
How about setting up a weekly family field trip? She offers great ideas of how to make those fun and very educational for your preschooler. I found that it was encouraging and even empowering as a parent to have such detailed information that I knew was age appropriate for my children. Keeping twin toddlers entertained and getting them to participate can be nearly impossible, and I had never found a program that helped me acheive those goals.
A little bit about Tracey:
I am a National Board Certified teacher (the highest certification a teacher can earn – much like board certified physicians, lawyers and accountants) who has taught kindergarten for 15 years. I continue to work with teachers through facilitating workshops on accelerated learning, developing instruction for the 21st century and developmentally appropriate practice for pre-k through high school teachers. My twin sister Stacey, the entrepreneur and business mind of the family, encouraged me to share my talents and knowledge with more parents by starting Wiggle Giggle Learn.
Wiggle Giggle Learn’s mission is to advance the intellectual and social abilities of all children by empowering parents with the knowledge and tools necessary for teaching their children to learn to flourish from birth… and to work in our communities to promote learning as we seek to improve education. The passage of the No Child Left Behind Law left states’ scrambling to increase the rigor of their academic standards. This affects pre-k and kindergarten by pushing curriculum down that once belonged exclusively in first grade. Children are reading and writing paragraphs at the end of kindergarten in many states today. Parents are shocked at what their children must learn in only 180 days in kindergarten.
As a master teacher, I know that the right preparation and home learning environment from birth will make the transition into this academic kindergarten less traumatic and schools will be able to teach at a higher level when students come prepared. It is for this reason that I wrote the Wiggle Giggle Learn program that consists of weekly activity plans from birth to age four. When a child turns four, our project plans help the little one engage in deeper critical thinking, problem solving and vocabulary-based studies.
Wiggle Giggle Learn was named as a top ten finalist in the Seeds for Success: Empowering women entrepreneurs grant, given by Yahoo! Small business and Carolyn Kepcher’s (formerly Donald Trump’s assistant) new firm, Finding What Matters. Their products are being used in homes, daycares and by nannies across the US and Australia.
Click here to get great sample plans and resources. You can also visit their blog where they answer parent’s questions about child development as well as offering advice and activities from Wiggle Giggle Learn! Tracey also has a personal blog where she shares even more information about early childhood education and how schools must reform for the 21st century.
Whew, I know that’s a lot of information, but I have honestly NEVER seen anything as dynamic and all encompassing as this program!
Tracey is offering a 25% discount for my readers!! So hop over to their site and enter the code baby by August 30, 2008!
She has also offered a giveaway!!!! TWO OF YOU WILL win a Starter CD package {created for the appropriate ages of your child(ren)} worth $139.95 (see the details here)!!! I am so very excited to offer this! Here’s how to enter ….

Wow! I love the idea! As a credentialed teacher myself, I can appreciate this early learning tool. Too many parents just wait and expect their kids will learn everything they need when they begin Kindergarton, but that’s too late to start! It makes me wonder if I’ve been doing anything worthwhile for my 18 month old son!!! I would absolutely love to win this prize and I would use it for my 18 month old son!! Thanks for getting the word out there!!
Jul 11th, 2008 at 9:46 am
I have a special needs child and this would be great to help with her delays and showing me what to do.
Jul 11th, 2008 at 11:03 am
This would be great for my family. As a stay-at-home mom of preschool age children I am really in need of some sort of a curriculum for teaching my children and knowing what they should know at certain ages. We plan to homeschool in the future and I would like to start off on teh right foot.

I read through the example pack for my 4 year old and I really liked how it gives you easy activities to do as an application to the topic. I’d love this for my 4 year old because I feel kids learn so much better when learning is hands on/visual or involving other senses. I also have an 8 month old and admit I don’t have any “learning” plan for him. We play and do all sorts of stuff but I’d love ideas on how to maxamize his development.
Jul 11th, 2008 at 6:51 pm
Wow! I have never seen such a comprehensive, FUN, and worthwhile system that teaches while having fun! My son is five, and will be entering kidergarten in the fall. Despite my best attempts, I have come to the realization he is woefully prepared for academia. I think I’m teaching him until I realize he has retained very little of it!! This Learning system gives me hope that with the specialized, individualized, age-specific guides, I can help him utilize what little time we have left prior to and even while he’s in kindergarten. I’ve been looking in earnest for something, anything, to help him, and all I’ve come across are preschool workbooks. He does those very well when the directions are read to him, but he has little retention of the skills he’s learning and he gets quite frustrated. As a single parent with a very limited income, it’s hard to know what’s worthwhile to spend your money on - these Wiggle, Giggle, & Learn Activity Guides are the real deal. (And if I could win some, that would be the greatest blessing!!)
Sincerely,
Chandra and son, Cameron

Jul 12th, 2008 at 5:30 am
What a great idea; one less things mom have to stress over (finding fun ways to teach baby) and what fun for baby!
Like all mother/child relationships, in the end, we learn from each other. This is so very nice because you can look back and actually see where the progress began!
Jul 12th, 2008 at 5:44 am
It looks like it would be fun for the kids so they will learn more.

I teach in a state funded Pre-k program. Your concept is awesome, I have a pet peeve toward the curriculum I program currently use, I am a firm believer in creating a curriculum that meets the need of the student’s it will serve. I really love the way you break the curriculum into age group not just years but at times by month. Congratulations to a wonderful site, I have subscribed to your newsletter and book marked for further use. Thanks for the contest.

Jul 12th, 2008 at 10:14 am
I went to Wiggle, Giggle, learn and was astonished by the program and what can be done for your childs development. I also like that the programs gear to the childs developmental milestones perfectly clear up the the age of 10. I am impressed by the way teh program was built and what can be done daily to help your child learn. I am extremely impressed and have been looking for that something like this for my girls (one is going into kinder and the other first grade).
I added myself to their newsletter as well; should I end up not being the winner of this awesome prize I will be saving my money to purchase it (provided I get it quickly). This is a perfect prize indeed…especially since it involves the learning progress of your children.
Jul 12th, 2008 at 10:57 am
Great prize.
Thanks for all the excellent contests!
Jul 12th, 2008 at 11:01 am
This fits in exactly with my style of parenting. I’m all about providing a wide array of opportunities for learning and exploring and education through play can be so much fun! I’ve always pooled through books and magazines for themes and/or activities and craft ideas for my kids and then we share in the fun together. I really like this resource being all in one place and easy to access with just about anything I could need. I love this!
Jul 12th, 2008 at 12:16 pm
I was really amazed at the content and activities that were provided. My sister and I both have 3 year old children and these activities can fill up a rainy day, teach skills they will need and provide tons of fun!
Jul 12th, 2008 at 12:19 pm
WOW…this program looks fantastic. As a stay at home mom, it’s hard to find information/curriculum that is both challening and fun for my daughter. I want to be able to give the best possible background for beginning her eduction and this looks like a great solution. It is not only educational, but entertaining as well. She has a short attention span and I’m sure this program would help capture and harness her attention into learning power! And it would be great when my son is old enough to use it.
Jul 12th, 2008 at 1:01 pm
I would love to use this to teach my son…I am planning to homeschool so I think this would just be a really great thing to get us going in this direction.

Anything that is interesting & educational is a bonus. I think it would be great because it’d allow the child to know that learning is fun. I think that sort of attitude would be very helpful once they reach school age.

This is a great learning tool.
Jul 14th, 2008 at 9:51 am
Two kids keep me so busy that I have a hard time finding time to develop educational plans for my kids. My oldest has down syndrome and I would love to have a plan to help me prepare her to enter preschool next year. It wouldn’t hurt my 7 month old to get a jump start on learning either.
Jul 14th, 2008 at 10:49 am

Jul 14th, 2008 at 11:07 am

Jul 14th, 2008 at 12:04 pm
I have been wanting to start some type of educational program with my daughter, who is 25 months. I love that this one is set up to only be 15-30 minutes a couple times a day and that it is fun. Sometimes all we have is 15 minutes together before her 10 month old brother wants in on the fun. Actually it’s more like 15 seconds, but I’m sure we can find distractions for him
Jul 14th, 2008 at 12:40 pm
WOW! This is really cool. My son is 4 and I love the idea of weekly field trips…the tree project was neat! Thanks!
Jul 14th, 2008 at 1:12 pm
This would be great for us to do with our kids. We can tailor it to the needs of all three. I love the VERY age specific-ness of the program.
Jul 14th, 2008 at 1:29 pm
Wow! I’m a first time mom, and none of my friends have kids yet, so I’m doing this all on my own. I’d love some guidance!
Jul 14th, 2008 at 2:43 pm
I’ve been considering homeschooling, and this could send us in the right direction. Thank you.
Jul 14th, 2008 at 3:06 pm
Wow, this is great. I’m a sahm and I try to give my kids “learning” activities, but I am always running out of ideas. And I’m definitely not very confident when it domes to my “teaching” abilities. This would be great for me.
Jul 14th, 2008 at 3:09 pm
I love learning games. This would be great for my boys. Thanks for the chance.
Jul 14th, 2008 at 8:51 pm

Jul 15th, 2008 at 9:03 am

I like the fact that they emphasize toys that are simple and no batteries! lol
Jul 16th, 2008 at 12:47 pm
My best friend is having a really rough time with her daughter who is turning two soon. Her speech is delayed, and she has a really short attention span.
Her mother tries to come up with learning activites, but she is a single mom that works alot, so it is hard. This would be so perfect for her, and would help her to stay motivated. Thanks for the chance.
Jul 16th, 2008 at 2:11 pm
This would be a great program for my family! We have a baby who was born 2 months premature and we are concerned for any delays he might have in the future!
Jul 17th, 2008 at 12:11 am
This would be great for my daughter and grandkids.
Jul 17th, 2008 at 7:39 am

Jul 18th, 2008 at 7:55 am
what a great giveaway. I think this would help both my autistic child and my daughter with a speech delay greatly
Jul 18th, 2008 at 8:03 am
that it makes learning fun
Jul 18th, 2008 at 9:57 am
This looks like a great tool. I find that my kids don’t really like learning with me and maybe that is because I don’t make it fun or interesting enough. I think this could definitely help me.
Jul 18th, 2008 at 12:26 pm
I plan on homeschooling my little ones and this would be a great start to my choice of curriculum, I’m a newbie when it comes to education at home and Wiggle, Wiggle, and Learn looks very fun and I’m glad its customized to the ages of my children!

Jul 18th, 2008 at 8:19 pm
The convenience of having this program would do it for me! I would save money and time. It looks entertaining too.
Jul 18th, 2008 at 9:21 pm
What a great program. I know this will be enjoyed for a long time. We are all Wiggle fans, and I really like how you were able to integrate fun and learning. Pre-K was a little stressful for our oldest, and we have 2 more to go. I think having the Wiggles explain and encourage will help all three of them.
Jul 18th, 2008 at 9:48 pm
I would love to have this for my daughter. It\\\’s great that she can begin her education way before kindergarten and everything is done according to her age/ability.
Jul 19th, 2008 at 9:29 am
I would love the 3.5 yearl old program for my son. We haven’t put him in any sort of preschool program yet and I would love to work on those skills at home. I have a hard time engaging him in play that doesn’t involve electronics so this sounds like a great program to help fing meaningful play activities.
Jul 19th, 2008 at 7:47 pm
There’s definitely some good advice on this site. Like that too many toys and clutter can cause overstimulation. It’s completely logical, but I need to do better about that.
Jul 19th, 2008 at 7:53 pm
i think having this in my home would 1) help me decide if homeschooling is for my family and 2) help my kids get a jump start on all the things they need to know in school
Jul 19th, 2008 at 7:58 pm
I’d love to win this for my sister in law who’s pregnant with her first. The best thing about it is that it encourages spending time with your child.
Jul 20th, 2008 at 5:01 am
I am adopting a little girl from China and this would be a great resource to have!
Jul 20th, 2008 at 7:58 am
my boys are just getting ready to start school this year and this would be a great help
Jul 20th, 2008 at 8:07 am
Your ideas and assistance make the products invaluable. I too have noticed that my grandson spends more time with his non-battery toys and they provide more stimulation and he uses them in unique and different ways … he’s constantly learning.
Jul 20th, 2008 at 8:12 am
As a new mom, who is not a teacher, it would be such a weight off of my shoulders to have a comprehensive program like this which is so detailed and attuned to the needs of my child in such a specific way. I’d love to win it, there’s so much out there that’s piecemeal, a full system like this would be so much easier.
Jul 20th, 2008 at 8:15 am
would love to use this to teach my son, would love to work on those skills at home. get him ready for preschool
Jul 20th, 2008 at 8:42 am

I would love to have more advice for giving all of my kids what they need. I have a 6-month-old, a 2.5-year-old and a 4.5 year old — they all need very different things. The information about recommended books and activities would really help me!

I have a son who is 85% deaf. I worked with him non stop prior to him going to school and all through school. Most people that meet him have no idea that he has a handicap of any kind and now he is getting ready to start law school. This program would have made my life so much easier! I now have six grandchildren all under the age of five who are with Nana everyday. We read, color, have story time and are learning our ABC’s numbers and colors. Although sometimes it is hard for me to come up with ideas to keep them interested in learning, this program would be a life saver!
